#NaBloPoMo: All Good*

A few reasons I’m in a great mood:

It’s Friday. It’s Pay Day.

I’ve somehow evolved into an adult with multiple savings accounts who isn’t always “down to her last” the day before pay day.

I’m going to see one of my favorite rappers in concert tonight. (Crossing off a big To-Do List item for #ThisIs33. But more on that in another post.)

I wore leggings as pants to work today.

For the first time in ever, I wrote about an ex and he handled it calmly. Yay for mature adult relationships!

I set up an author page on GoodReads. I’m a real writer now, right? (I’m still asking this after publishing a book, mind you.)

This excerpt, from the Medium post “Stop Spending So Much Time In Your Head” has been helpful this week:

“Which thoughts are useful?

– Thinking about how you can solve problems. A problem is just an unanswered question. Put your brain to use and think about how you can solve problems. There are a lot of those on this earth.

– Understanding knowledge. That mean this: Try to internalize knowledge and think about how you can use that knowledge to improve your life, career, work, relationships, etc.

That’s it. You can ignore every other thought.”

The new Bruno Mars album, 24K Magic, is a banger. It’s fun, outright hilarious in parts (see: “Perm” and the end of “Calling All My Lovelies”), and recalls the Babyface/Bobby Brown sound of the late 80s/early 90s. Perfect soundtrack for kicking off the last day of warm weather in Ohio until June.

[*] All Good except, you know. The President-Elect being a racist, misogynist charlatan who is filling his cabinet with white nationalists.
